    A new SturdyBee service

SturdyBee Property Solutions · Metro Vancouver

    Everyday home routines,with support.

After a crash, ordinary household tasks can take more effort. SturdyBee now offers ICBC homemaking support to help make approved day-to-day routines more manageable, with clear scope and respectful communication.

ICBC must authorize homemaking before service starts. Eligibility, approved hours and payment are decided by ICBC.

    First things first

    Authorization before service

    Current roster area

    Four named communities

    A changing plan

Hours may be reviewed over time

    A practical distinction

Homemaking is help with the household.

Under ICBC’s program, homemaking replaces usual household duties you cannot perform because of crash-related injuries. It is not personal care or medical treatment. Your claims contact assesses your needs and confirms what can be authorized.

    A useful starting point

Think about the everyday household tasks you usually handle, which ones are difficult right now, and what your claims contact has already approved.

Homemaking is assessed and authorized on its own terms; the separate pre-approved initial 12-week rule for some therapies does not apply to homemaking.

    Household support

    Approved scope applies
    • General household cleaning
    • Dusting, sweeping and vacuuming
    • Garbage disposal and tidying
    • Laundry and ironing
    • Dishes and bed-making

    Clear boundaries matter

    What this service is not.

Homemaking has a specific household scope. These services are outside this offering and are not described as covered homemaking tasks.

    One step at a time

    How to get started.

Start with your ICBC claims contact, not a service booking. Written authorization defines the work that can proceed.

    1. 01

      Talk with your claims contact

Ask your ICBC support and recovery specialist about homemaking assessment and whether support may fit your situation.

    2. 02

      Get assessment and authorization

ICBC determines eligibility and, if approved, confirms the tasks, service dates and monthly hours. Do not start before authorization is in place; unauthorized work may not be paid. Check with ICBC before changing approved work or arranging service outside the approved area.
