The Challenge

The existing kitchen countertops and backsplash were outdated and due for replacement. Working in a strata condo meant observing noise restrictions, coordinating elevator access, and protecting common areas. The cabinet framing also needed reinforcement before the new countertops could be properly seated.

How We Approached It

Strata buildings in Vancouver require careful pre-planning: elevator bookings, floor protection, and strict noise restriction schedules. The cabinet framing needed clamping and levelling before countertop installation could proceed, which required assessment during the demolition phase and same-day adjustment to the project scope.

During demolition, the cabinet boxes were assessed and reinforced using clamping and shimming to create a perfectly level substrate. The quartz countertops were installed to a precise fit, with matched backsplash tile and professionally sealed joints throughout.

The Result

The kitchen was transformed with new quartz countertops, a matching backsplash, and a new undermount sink and faucet. The condo common areas were left undamaged and clean. The work was completed within the strata noise window and on schedule.
